Or are rules important?

With my first post I will lay down to ground rules for the whole thing. I am going to talk about things that I have thought and/or wondered about and see if others have thought about them. I don't know that what I post with ever be a final word or a final stance on a subject, I would imagine that they won't be. Comments are welcome for or against as long as they are on topic and thoughful and not offensive. I reserve the right to determine if anything is offensive. I honestly don't know when/if this will ever be a problem, just laying a foundation.
